Even the Food Network agrees that DBC is one of the best breakfasts in Denver. The artsy location is stylish and filled to the brim with natural light. The red booths and accents make the place feel warm and cozy. Their menu features house-made biscuits served as sweet sandwiches, savory combinations, and even French toast. The coffee is serve-yourself style, and you can pick from an excellent assortment of mugs. Of course, the refills are free! After 3 pm, the restaurant shifts to Fat Sully’s, the alter-ego that serves up pizza slices bigger than your head!
Open the door to the sweet smell of freshly baked deliciousness and Greek charm. Our favorite treat is the almond cookie – perfectly balanced with a supple texture; it’s the most amazing gluten-free delight you’ll ever meet. It’s not easy to come by authentic treats like these, so you truly must stop in!
A sprawling destination, City Park is the perfect place to let loose and play! Walk for miles beneath towering shady trees along Ferril Lake. There are several playgrounds and volleyball nets for added excitement. The park also hosts year-round events that are guaranteed crowd pleasers. Want an expensive and memorable date night? Grab a blanket on a summer Sunday afternoon and head to Jazz in the Park for music, community, and food truck delicacies.
The Denver Zoo is a 125-year-old Colorado gem and a local favorite! Step out with the family on a nice day and take a walk on the wild side in this 80-acre zoological garden. They have many price-saving offerings, so your wallet can have a good time too. Don’t forget to check out Zoo Lights in the colder months and plan ahead – all guests require online timed tickets.
